What’s in the box
Heritage
Designed in 1994. Remastered in 2016.
Designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick, then remastered with everything Herman Miller had learnt in the two decades between. No foam, no upholstery: a breathable suspension that keeps you cool through a full workday.
Suspension
8Z Pellicle — eight zones of tension
Eight anatomical zones of varying tension across the seat and back: firmer where your body needs support, softer where it needs pressure relief.
Posture
PostureFit SL and harmonic tilt
Individually adjustable pads stabilise the spine from the sacrum up, supporting the natural forward tilt of a healthy posture — while a smooth, balanced recline keeps your eyes level and your feet grounded.
Fit
Three sizes, engineered fit
Size A fits roughly 147–163 cm (rated to 136 kg); Size B, 157–183 cm (to 159 kg) — the fit for most people; Size C, 178–198 cm (to 181 kg). Unsure between two sizes? Check the size dots under the top of the backrest on any Aeron you've sat in, or ask us before you order.
Finishes
Three finishes, four bases
Graphite, Onyx and Mineral across standard, polished aluminium, satin aluminium and black bases. Add the matching Atlas Headrest for Aeron and its finishes pair with the same three colourways.

Questions
Before you order
Which size Aeron should I choose?
Size A suits roughly 147–163 cm and is rated to 136 kg; Size B suits roughly 157–183 cm, rated to 159 kg, and fits most people; Size C suits roughly 178–198 cm, rated to 181 kg. If you're between sizes, message us your height and weight and we'll recommend one.
What is 8Z Pellicle?
The Aeron's seat and back use a foam-free suspension woven into eight anatomical zones of different tension — firmer support at the base of the spine and under the sitting bones, softer pressure relief at the upper back and thighs. It's also what keeps the Aeron cool: air passes straight through.
Does it arrive assembled?
Yes — the Aeron ships fully assembled. Unbox it, set the seat height and PostureFit SL pressure, and sit.
What warranty does it come with?
A 1-year warranty is included. If you'd like Herman Miller's official 12-year warranty, add the 12-Year Warranty Upgrade service — A$300, listed in our store — to the same order as your chair.
Can I add a headrest?
Yes — the Atlas Headrest for Aeron, available in our Accessories range, fits the Remastered Aeron in all three sizes and matches the Graphite, Onyx and Mineral finishes.
Which base should I pick?
Standard (plastic) is the classic understated look; polished aluminium is the premium showroom finish; satin aluminium sits between the two with a brushed look; the black base pairs with Onyx for an all-dark chair.
